Our Philosophy

At Sapphire Moon, our mission is simple yet profound: to transform the way you care for your skin. We were inspired by life and family to reevaluate our relationship with skincare. Our commitment is to provide you with products that are a true gift to your body, free from harsh chemicals and artificial additives.

Why do we do this? Because your skin absorbs nearly seventy percent of what you apply to it, including all the harmful ingredients commonly found in mass-produced skincare. That's why we've left behind the factory and embraced hands-on craftsmanship. Every Sapphire Moon creation is lovingly made with all skin types in mind, especially those overlooked by the impersonal world of mass production.

You'll not only see but also feel and smell the difference in our products. This change in approach has transformed our own relationship with our skin, and we're confident it can do the same for you. We invite you to experience the natural, rejuvenating benefits of Sapphire Moon and discover a new way to care for your skin.

Our Story

Meet Meg, a passionate soapmaker with a rich family heritage in the art of crafting soap. Her journey began as a child, learning the age-old secrets of soapmaking from a beloved family member. In 2018, she transformed her knowledge and love for soap into Sapphire Moon Soapery, a brand rooted in tradition and quality.

To understand the heart of Sapphire Moon, let's travel back in time. Do you ever wonder why your grandparents stored animal fats in a coffee tin on the stove? During World War II, the government encouraged people to collect these fats, which were later donated to the Army for explosives production. Soap, a wartime essential, became rationed in 1942 to conserve oils and fats for food. Families had to make do by reusing old soap slivers or re-batching soap, a concept still relevant today. But eventually, even these homemade soaps would run out, leaving families without. Those who knew the art of soapmaking could rely on the animal fats they had saved to create soap, a humble but effective solution.

Sapphire Moon Soapery embodies the spirit of those times because Meg is the great-granddaughter of a resilient woman who crafted soap for her family during those challenging years. The family belief has always been that the best thing for your skin is warm water and quality soap. Meg asked questions and learned for herself.

Today, Meg and her family continue this tradition, crafting natural, high-quality soaps using shea butter, coconut oil, and sunflower oil. Their soaps provide a gentle, hydrating cleanse that honors the age-old principles of soapmaking. Meg's experience as a home health care agent and her time in wound care clinics have influenced her to infuse her creations with organic herbs, juices, oats, and other beneficial ingredients, adding extra value to her products.

At Sapphire Moon Soapery, we invite you to experience the heritage and quality that define our soaps. It's a journey through time, a connection to family, and a dedication to your skin's well-being."
